This year, thanks in large part to the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, Boxing Day looks much different than it did last year.
While there are still capacity restrictions in place, the vast majority of Ontario businesses are open, and there are plenty of things for Brampton residents to enjoy.
These are five things to do on Boxing Day 2021 in Brampton.
Shopping:
Of course, with Christmas over, everyone is going to want to spend the money they received, or return the gifts that just weren’t quite right. There are also Boxing Day deals that many will want to take advantage of. Most major malls, including Bramalea City Centre are open.
Skating:
Many of Brampton’s outdoor skating rinks are open over the holidays, weather permitting, including the Gore Meadows Covered Outdoor Skating Rink, the Chinguacousy Park Skate Recreational Trail, the Gage Park Outdoor Skating Recreational Trail, and the Mount Pleasant Outdoor Skating Rink.
A Bite to Eat:
Many restaurants are open Boxing Day, and, considering they’ve been hit with additional restrictions, enjoying a nice meal with friends and family is a great way to support local and help businesses that are still struggling.
Get Active:
For those who aren’t fans of the cold, there are plenty of indoor facilities in Brampton, including Toprock Climbing, Rollerplex, and Aerosports Trampoline Parks Brampton, for those who want to get some exercise while still staying warm.
Arcades:
Those who would rather enjoy playing some arcade games can head to Pladium or GlowZone 360 for some laser tag, good old fashioned zombie blasting.
