If you’re searching for a spooky way to get into the Halloween spirit, we’ve got you covered. From haunted houses to eerie mazes and ghost walks, there are plenty of chilling attractions to explore this October.

While the options are endless, there are a few standout experiences that promise a frightful time—if you’re brave enough. Here are the top seven haunted attractions (in no particular order) to visit in the GTHA this month:


Fear Farm

Snyder’s Farm in Bright, Ont., may be family-friendly by day, but at night, it transforms into Fear Farm, one of the region’s top haunted attractions. Seven haunts will be at this year’s event including a haunted corn maze, hayride, haunted house and carnival-themed attraction complete with clowns—guaranteed to raise the scare factor.

Original Haunted Walk of Kingston

This walk is considered one of the best ghost tours in Canada. The 75-minute walk starts in the lobby of the Prince George Hotel at 200 Ontario Street and takes you through the quiet, eerie streets of the city. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of hangings at the courthouse, body snatchings, and a haunted guest house.

Cost: Adults $29.99, Youth (up to 14) $21.99. Save $5 on tours from Monday to Wednesday.


Jaymes White: The Beverley Street Séance

Looking to be chilled to the bone this fall? Jaymes White, known across Canada for his supernatural events, is offering three unique experiences this year:

  • The Stanley Garrison Séance: Hosted near Stanley Barracks, at 11 Princes’ Blvd., this authentic Victorian séance invites a small group of guests for a terrifying encounter at Exhibition Place.
  • The Art of Mindreading: An intimate, interactive show where Jaymes demonstrates ancient mindreading techniques, leaving participants in awe.
  • Paradox: A theatrical stage performance that delves deep into the human psyche.

Screemers

Celebrating its 30th year, Screemers brings thrills and chills to Assembly Park in Vaughan. Experience all seven haunted walk-through mazes, including Medieval Massacre, Halloween Horrors, and the Wax Slasher Museum. The Midway of Madness features unlimited rides, a carnival atmosphere, and a licensed Vampire Lounge for those needing a break from the scares.

Cost: $44.95 + HST/person. Includes unlimited rides and access to all haunted attractions.


Legends of Horror at Casa Loma

The scary vibes return at Casa Loma, transforming into an immersive theatrical experience with Legends of Horror. Visitors will follow a 2 km trail starting in the lower gardens, winding through the castle’s tunnels and secret spaces. The over 1-hour experience features theatrically designed sets and environmental storytelling, culminating in a 3D projection on the castle’s exterior.

Cost: $49.66 ($45.00 + $4.66 fees)


Fear Forest

Located at 690 Taunton Rd. W., in Oshawa, this immersive haunted trail takes you deep into the woods for a live horror film experience. Walk through multiple frightening scenes and encountering monsters along the way. The whole experience lasts about 45 minutes, with the trail walk itself taking 15 to 20 minutes. This attraction is recommended for guests aged ten and older, with those under 15 required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Cost: $19.99 per person. Tickets available online only.
Parking: 1 vehicle included per reservation. Additional vehicles are $4.99 + tax each.


Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland

Returning for another spooky season, Halloween Haunt will feature six mazes, including the new Demons of the Deep, seven scare zones, live entertainment and night rides. Halloween-themed food and drinks, such as the Zombie Apple Fritter and Witches Brew blood bag cocktail, will also be available.
