A new Irish pub will be opening soon in Toronto to bring a taste of the Emerald Isle to town.

We already have many other places to go for Irish food and drink, but it’s lovely to welcome another to the community. The West Cork Irish Pub is sure to be a great addition to Toronto’s bar scene for lovers of Irish bars.

West Cork hasn’t released an official menu, but they’ve posted photos on social media of Guinness and Murphy’s Irish stout beers, the latter actually brewed in Cork. The beers are pictured with Tayto cheese and onion chips and bacon flavour fries snacks.

The post actually stirred up a fair bit of excitement as Murphy’s and Tayto chips aren’t easy to come across in Toronto.

“I am going to have to quality check the Murphy’s a few times. I have not had it on tap in so long, I need to refresh my memory,” wrote one commenter. “Will be in there religiously if can get a side of Tayto’s,” wrote another person.

For their opening night, West Cork will have live music from duo Michael O’Grady and James McKie, and it seems as though the bar should be hosting live music regularly.

The West Cork Irish Pub at 701 Queen St. E. is opening on Sept. 28 at 5 p.m.
