There can never be too many sushi restaurants in Toronto, and now the city has welcomed another newcomer serving this popular type of Japanese cuisine.
Sushi Kombu has just opened its doors, serving a wide variety of typical sushi dishes. They serve appetizers, donburi, sashimi, sushi and rolls, as well as huge party trays and platters that range up to almost 100 pieces of sushi.
Some of their signature rolls even have locally inspired names, like the Huntsville Roll with spicy scallop, avocado and cucumber topped with salmon and spicy mayo, or the Golden Scarborough Roll, a deep-fried California roll with fish tartare and special sauces.
Sushi Kombu posted to Instagram that one of their first customers left them a five-star review on Google, so it seems like the restaurant is off to a good start.
The new restaurant is tucked away in a knot of many restaurants, in a shopping area that encompasses Scarboro Village Mall and Skycity Shopping Centre.
A foodie haven, it’s a great area for an eating crawl with other popular restaurants within steps like Liuyishou Hotpot, Ye Skewers Hotpot, Ten Miles BBQ, Korean Grill House and Linh Anh. Now, Sushi Kombu is adding their sushi offerings to that landscape.
Sushi Kombu is now open at 3276 Midland Ave.
