A popular restaurant for brunch just opened a second location, and it’s their first ever in downtown Toronto.

Cafe 85 Degrees serves an all-day brunch menu, and has origins in Richmond Hill. Their main daytime offering available until 4 p.m. is a selection of mini waffle Bennies.

There’s the California with avocado, blistered tomato and baby arugula, the Montreal smoked meat Benny with pickles, grainy mustard and horseradish, and the duck confit Benny with pulled duck and caramelized onions.

They also serve chicken n’ waffles, sausage shakshuka, sous vibe short rib and duck confit salad, as well as a range of salads, sandwiches and pastas. There are also some shareables on the menu including Korean fried chicken and fish tacos.

There are also a couple items that are only available after 5 p.m.: a Cajun jambalaya and seafood cioppino. As for drinks, there’s coffee, tea and smoothies on the menu.

To celebrate the grand opening of their new downtown Toronto location, Cafe 85 Degrees is offering a $10 pasta special of mushroom fettuccine alfredo or sausage campanelle until March 23.

This new downtown restaurant comes hot on the heels of Cafe 85 Degrees opening their original location in Richmond Hill around the turn of the year.

The first downtown Toronto location for Cafe 85 Degrees is now open at 695 Bay St.
