A cafe that’s become known for its cakes has announced they will soon be permanently closing their doors in Toronto.

Fantastic Baby Cafe on Dundas West not only sells Korean products like skincare, but also threw many K-pop events for fans. Their cakes were adorably decorated and tasty, and the shop had become a favourite to order from for celebrations.

The cafe has now posted to social media saying that they have close next month as life is taking a different direction.

“When planning the Taemin event it was bittersweet for me, knowing it was going to be our last one, but lifelong passions and family are calling to me and I must respond by changing my path and closing the cafe. I want to thank you all so very much for the support you have shown this small business over the last 4.5 years! Thank you to everyone who came from all over the world and the rest of Canada to see us, I have always been so taken aback that people would make our little spot part of their travel plans and I can’t tell you how grateful I am for that,” reads the post.

“Thank you to all the staff who have worked here!! Each one put in their best effort in different ways to helping this business and their enthusiasm and ability to go above and beyond is so genuinely appreciated and remembered. I am going to miss so much of the cafe. It was born out of love, run with love and we close with love! Please take care and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this experience.”

There should be big sales in the coming days as the cafe winds down, and Fantastic Baby will continue taking cake orders until July 28.

The last day open for Fantastic Baby Cafe will be Aug. 10.
