An Alberta-based restaurant with two happy hours every day and weekend brunch has announced they’ll be opening their first ever Toronto location next year.

Central Taps serves, in their words, “damn good food and crushable drinks.” That might include options like sushi, tacos, noodles, sandwiches, bowls, pizza and steak.

They have two happy hours a day at their only current location in Calgary, one from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and one from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.

On the happy hour menu, food starts at $4 and drinks start at $5, and there’s a rotating $5 daily shot. Cheeseburger sliders are $4 and highballs and draft beer are $5, and their happy hour menu also has $5 perogies and spicy california rolls as well as $7 wine, $8 mules and $9 espresso martinis.

Their brunch menu includes French toast, breakfast sandwiches, Eggs Benny, breakfast enchiladas and “Hangover Benny Tots” with poached eggs, cheese curds, bacon and hollandaise.

The new Central Taps location in Toronto should come complete with a 360-degree bar and a multi-season patio with a fireplace, along with interiors they describe as “cozy.”

The new location is also hiring for roles like management, servers, bartenders, hosts, kitchen hands, cooks and sous chefs.

In addition to the new Toronto location, Central Taps is also opening a new Marda Loop location in Calgary and a new location in Vancouver on Burrard.

Central Taps is set to open in Toronto at 114 Ossington Ave. in early 2025.
