A 100-year-old chain of furniture stores just opened their seventh store in St. Catharines, and it’s full of all kinds of fun features like selfie stations, a waterfall and free popcorn.

Tepperman’s is a family-owned business with origins that date back to 1925 when the founder began selling door to door. Their first store opened in Windsor in 1929.

They sell all kinds of furniture for the living room, dining room, bedroom, office and outdoors as well as lots of electronics, appliances and home decor. The chain has locations in Windsor, Chatham, London, Ancaster, Sarnia, Kitchener and now St. Catharines.

The selfie stations at the new Tepperman’s include one with a cute pink phone and one with a fluffy, flowery swing. The new location also includes a Tepperman’s discount outlet section.

According to Retail Insider, the location spans tens of thousands of square feet, and other standout features of the St. Catharines location are a kids’ area with digital games, a cafe and a working 1928 pickup truck filled with appliances and furniture from that time. The space where the new Tepperman’s has opened was once home to an old Home Outfitters and Designer Depot.

Tepperman’s is now open in St. Catharines at 399 Louth St.
