A souffle pancake brand with origins in Japan and locations in the United States has opened their first ever Canadian location in Toronto.

Flipper’s is known for their ultra-fluffy souffle pancakes which they serve in multiple varieties like strawberry, matcha and fresh fruit, but they also serve chicken n’ waffles, Eggs Benny, sandwiches and burgers. The special souffle pancakes take about 20 minutes to make, so be prepared for a short wait.

Their menu also includes drinks like matcha lattes, blue iced tea lemonade and iced americanos.

Flipper’s has multiple locations in Japan, and also has locations in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Seoul, Hong Kong, New York City and Los Angeles. The brand has origins in Shimokitazawa that stretch all the way back to 2016.

The Toronto location is housed in a charming old building with ornate stained glass windows, and the interior is equally quaint with pop art decorating brick walls.

Flipper’s is now open in Toronto at 31 Elm St.
