Toronto is getting another location of a popular sandwich chain that’s been taking over the city.
Firehouse Subs was founded by people with actual experience in fire service, and has locations all over the United States and Canada. They’ve opened many locations in Toronto and around Ontario so far, and now they’re opening a brand new location in Toronto.
The chain is known for their hearty sub sandwiches stacked high with lots of meats. One of their most popular signature subs is the Hook & Ladder with turkey, ham and Monterey Jack cheese, and there’s also the Engineer with turkey, Swiss cheese and mushrooms.

Firehouse also recently introduced a new epic sandwich called The 6ix Sub with three meats and three cheeses: honey ham, smoked turkey and Genoa salami, along with provolone, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese. They’ve also recently partnered with popular YouTube show Hot Ones to introduce a couple new spicy sandwiches.
Toronto already has Yonge and College, Bathurst and College, the Stockyards, King West, Dufferin and the Queensway locations of Firehouse Subs. Now, the city is becoming home to one more.
Firehouse Subs at 525 University Ave. should be opening on March 20.
