A restaurant serving American cuisine just opened its doors in Toronto.
Republique does what they call “casual dining redefined.”
“Republique is a modern take on American Cuisine, where innovation meets comfort in a stylish contemporary setting,” reads the OpenTable description for Republique.
“With a sleek, minimalist design, the restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its inventive menu.”

A tight menu of appetizers, mains and desserts includes options like smoked salmon carpaccio, steak tartare, duck confit, pasta, steak and creme brulee.
The restaurant once served brunch, but has now undergone a rebranding with more of a bistro dinner vibe. A representative for Republique tells YourCityWithIN.com that the restaurant has changed management and are trying to create more of a contemporary French fusion bistro, but hope to be getting back to doing weekend brunch again soon.
Republique is now open at 2 Irwin Ave.
