A new Toronto restaurant promises they’ll soon be serving up handmade Southern Italian pasta, and it’s bound to be great as a reigning pasta queen will be involved.
Zia’s Place comes to us from the people behind Pasta Forever as well as Happy Coffee & Wine, which were both tagged in an early social media post from the new spot. What goes together better than pasta and wine, especially when it’s a collaboration between great local businesses?

The restaurant will be opening in the space where restaurant Stop once stood near Dundas and Ossington. Stop has since moved to Roncesvalles.
So far Zia’s has teased a few of the dishes that might be on their menu on social media. They’ve posted photos of house pickles as well as a dish of culurgiones, a Sardinian pasta, stuffed with potato, pecorino and mint and tossed in a pomodoro sauce.

The photos have been getting hundreds of likes on Instagram and lots of excited comments.
Zia’s Place at 1543 Dundas St. W. should be opening this spring.
