A new rooftop patio with food, drinks and nightly entertainment just opened in the heart of Toronto.

Public Gardens is the newest addition to the bustling King West scene, offering a rooftop escape in the middle of it all.

The rooftop restaurant serves pizza, pasta, wine and cocktails like bellinis. Not only do they have nightly DJs, they also offer daily happy hours. And the best part about the bellinis is, they offer them by the pitcher.

For appetizers, there’s garlic bread, bruschetta, fried calamari, garlic bread and meatballs, and they also serve Caprese, wedge and Caesar salads. Pizzas come in varieties like Margherita, marinara, pepperoni, vodka and mortadella, and as for pasta there are options like spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, pesto fusilli, vodka gnocchi and mushroom fettuccine. A tight selection of mains includes chicken parm, steak and a burger.

Along with the frozen bellinis, there’s a full menu of espresso martinis with nearly 10 varieties, including Nutella, raspberry, amaro, tiramisu and even decaf.

The design sense of the space takes on an ultra-cool European vibe with greenery, romantic lighting, and lots of stripes and brick.

“Nestled in the Fashion District, Public Gardens offers an enchanting space with cozy banquettes, bar seating, and an ivy-clad rooftop patio,” reads the description of the restaurant on Resy, where it’s classified as Italian American.

“Catch your favourite game with a frozen bellini in hand, or stay late for our nightly DJs and a signature espresso martini. This is the place to indulge in craft cocktails, delicious Italian-American fare, and a laid-back yet lively atmosphere.”

Though the restaurant just opened, reservations are already scarce, especially for Fridays and Saturdays.

Public Gardens is now open at 577 King St. W.
