A bakery popular for their cookies has announced they’re opening up a location in Ottawa for the first time.
Courage Cookies began like many current businesses, as a lockdown project started up by people who found themselves out of work and isolated. When they started selling their cookies and realized there was demand, they began donating to COVID-19 relief, and since then have donated over $100,000. They have over 30 rotating flavours like Nutella s’more and brown butter Rice Krispie.
Every order of their delicious cookies still supports a good cause, so it’s no surprise that Courage Cookies is still growing. They now have locations in Toronto on Dundas West and in Stackt Market, and are opening up a brand new location in Ottawa.
Courage Cookies first announced in early May on social media that they’d be opening up in Ottawa.
“Chelsea and Ian are both from Ottawa and have always dreamt of bringing Courage Cookies home,” reads the announcement. “After all, it was their friends and families who made the first orders in March 2020 and had over 200 cookies in the mail from Toronto.”
Courage Cookies is having their grand opening at 1130 Wellington St. W. in Ottawa on May 25.
