A popular ice cream parlour is opening a temporary pop-up shop at one of Toronto’s biggest malls.
Scooped by Demetres is opening a pop-up location for a limited time at Queen’s Cross Food Hall in the Toronto Eaton Centre. They’ll be taking over the space that was occupied by Craig’s Cookies.
The pop-up will be offering 20 flavours, including Double Baked Apple Pie, Lemon Curd Blueberry, Cajeta Swirled Goat Cheese and cult fave Whispers of Saffron. The Double Baked Apple Pie and Lemon Curd Blueberry flavours recently won the RCC Grand Prix for best ice cream and best grocery product in Canada.
They’ll be available served in monogram waffle cones baked fresh on site, and you can also take home pints of ice cream from the pop-up.
The best part is, with 15 fast casual restaurants at Queen’s Cross, the Scooped pop-up is a fun dessert option to try before or after eating at any of the food hall’s other spots.
Scooped has 35 years of small batch ice cream making experience, with the Scooped concept that originated in 2021 offering some of the brand’s most gourmet flavours. They have three locations in Toronto at Waterworks Food Hall, Distillery District and CityPlace.
“We’ve been crafting premium ice cream for Torontonians since 1989, and there’s no better place to celebrate our city’s love for dessert than at the iconic CF Eaton Centre,” says Demetres president Kayvan Mahbod.
The Scooped by Demetres pop-up is launching at Queen’s Cross Food Hall at the Toronto Eaton Centre on Aug. 6.
