A live music venue that’s been a favourite for years is now closing its doors.

3030 is named for its address on Dundas West in the Junction, and has functioned as a venue for everything from weddings and private parties to filming locations.

By the end of the year, the space will be closing its doors.

According to 3030 social media and production manager Jesse, they “held out as long as we could” at the venue, but now it’s time to say goodbye.

He tells YourCityWithIN.com that the business is closing due to the “rising cost of everything” saying that “attendance and sales are way down” and “private rentals this year were pretty much nonexistent.”

“The business never really returned to normal after the lockdowns,” he says.

A Mexican restaurant or Latin club may possibly be moving into the space once 3030 has shut down.

The last day of operation for 3030 will be Dec. 14.
