A restaurant that’s super popular for brunch over in Montreal has just opened their first ever Toronto location.
L’Avenue (not to be confused with L’Avenue on Parliament) serves brunch dishes like Eggs Benny, omelettes, French toast, pancakes, shakshuka, chicken n’ waffles and even gnocchi. Their Eggs Benedict comes in varieties like steak and eggs, salmon and truffle duck.
They also do something called “The Indecisive” where they pair two of their organic eggs with a range of pancake or French toast options, plus your choice of a savoury side like bacon, sausage, guacamole, veggie pate or cheese. They offer lunch and dinner as well, with options on the menu like salads, burgers and sandwiches.
In business since 1994, the brunch chain is known for their creativity and large portions. Their decor is equally eccentric, and the Toronto restaurant is very spacious with lots of unique lighting, colourful graphics on the walls and even a motorcycle on the wall.
The restaurant already has locations in Laval, Saint-Henri, Mont-Royal and Brossard, but now they’ve opened their first ever spot outside Quebec in Toronto.
“It’s exciting to share a bit of Montreal culture in Toronto,” says Damien Fremaux of L’Avenue in a social media post.
The first ever Toronto location of L’Avenue is now open at The Well.
