A pub that has permanently shut its doors in Toronto is already transforming into a totally different concept.

Pour House was operated by Fab Restaurants, and now the restaurant group is converting the tavern into something completely new. The group also operates Simona, Irene, Pogue Mahone, Pie Bar, Goodman Pub, Black Sheep, Brazen Head and The Leeky Canoe.

Pour House served beer, cocktails, and comforting bar food like salads, sandwiches and bowls, as well as brunch. Around the beginning of July, the pub announced on social media that they’d be changing things up and becoming something different to mixed reactions.

The bar hosted an exclusive sampler night in early July with dishes from both the Pour House menu and the new concept’s menu. They had also announced they were hiring managers, servers and cooks for the new concept up until mid-July.

About a week ago, Pour House took to social media to announce they had now permanently closed, again to mixed reactions from commenters.

“We’re closing the doors at Pour House as we prepare for an exciting new chapter,” reads their post. “Stay tuned for Stella’s Kitchen, where classic comfort meets fresh new flavours. Thank you for your support, and we can’t wait to welcome you back soon!”

Stella’s Kitchen’s social media promises a menu of pizza, pasta made fresh daily and cocktails, “and warm, welcoming vibes.”

Stella’s Kitchen is opening soon at 182 Dupont St.
