A pizzeria with origins in Quebec will soon be opening their first Canadian restaurant outside of the province in Toronto.

No. 900 is named for the way the pizzeria cooks their pies at 900 degrees Fahrenheit in 90 seconds according to true Neapolitan tradition, as their pizza is certified by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.

“We’re a family of food & wine lovers who believe in the craft of true, authentic Neapolitan pizza. It’s an art. And our Pizzaioli (expert pizza makers) are trained according to the highest standards of the Verace Pizza Napoletana certification. It’s a real thing,” reads a post from No. 900’s Instagram account for their Toronto location.

“This is a place where you can enjoy incredible pizza, amazing food crafted with fresh, quality ingredients, good drink – ALL without cringing at the number on the bill.”

No. 900 serves typical Neapolitan pizza varieties like marinara, Margherita, five cheese, and sausage, as well as others that are slightly more creative like smoked meat with espresso aioli and organic five mushroom with truffle salt. Pizza prices range from $11 to $28.

They also serve classic starters like olives, taralli and gorgonzola, arancini, meatballs, charcuterie and antipasti platters, and there are also dedicated cheese dishes of burrata and mozzarella.

The pizza chain has dozens of locations in Quebec with many in Montreal as well as other cities. They actually even have a location in France in Lyon.

Now, they’re opening up in Toronto for the first time ever.

The restaurant actually made an unofficial introduction to the Beaches where they’ll be located during the neighbourhood’s summer jazz festival.

The opening date of No. 900’s Toronto location at 1987 Queen Street E. is yet to be determined, but they should be opening soon. Watch their social media for updates.
