A restaurant with an idyllic rooftop patio located at a downtown tourist destination has just announced that diners won’t be able to enjoy the warm summer months at their outdoor space.

Clay is located at the Gardiner Museum, functioning as their in-house restaurant. They serve a menu that’s upscale but comforting, and their upper-level patio is a gem that overlooks the Royal Ontario Museum across the street.

The restaurant just opened their patio at the beginning of May, but diners only had two months to eat outside at Clay before they announced they’d be temporarily closing.

“Clay Restaurant will be temporarily closed due to renovations,” reads a post on the restaurant’s social media.

The restaurant does not have a set reopening date yet, but they are planning to reopen their doors to the public sometime in October.

“We will stay open until June 28th and return to regular service in October,” reads Clay’s post.
