A rink for roller skating just announced recently that they have permanently closed their doors.

Rollerpony was a fun roller rink with a glittering disco ball hanging overhead and lots of great photo ops, including vintage cars for posing around.

At the end of last month, the rink posted a message to social media letting people know they were permanently closing.

“To every person that took the time to roll with us, thank you,” reads the message.

“Please continue to support the other rinks and creators sharing their love of skate culture. We hope you all continue to grow the community and the amazing small businesses Toronto has to offer.”

The post received almost 2,000 likes and almost 500 comments on Instagram from people saying how sad they were about the closing. Other businesses also commented on the post expressing their support.

“Sorry to hear,” commented another local roller skating business. “If there is anything we can do to support or help, let us know.”

Local business Freeplay commented, “Oh nooo, we’re so sorry to hear this!! We loved everything you guys stood for! What you accomplished on here was remarkable. Long live all things retro.”

Rollerpony encouraged people to share their photos, videos and memories to social media to say farewell to the rink. Since then, content has been pouring in commemorating good times at the space.

The final skate at Rollerpony was on Oct. 27.
