A bar for hip cocktails has made a major transformation not long after they originally opened.
What was once Overpressure Club has now become Gochu Libre. The bar was founded by the team behind Project Gigglewater, a cocktail bar that’s established itself as one of the best and most innovative in Toronto.
Whereas Overpressure Club had Asian influences, Gochu Libre is introducing a new element as a cantina for casual Mexican-Korean bites and cocktails.

Think snacks like kimchi guacamole and birria ramen along with a lineup of tacos that includes beef bulgogi, chicken al pastor and carnitas with hoisin.
Of course, however, the drinks remain the star of the show with options like classic, mezcal and spicy margaritas.
There’s also the Gochu Gang with gochu syrup and tomato water and a Poblano Sour made with poblano, Malibu and Mexican cinnamon. A tight selection of beer and wine rounds out the drink menu.
Gochu Libre is now open at 815 Bloor St. W.
