A woman-run local mini cafe chain recently shut down one of their multiple locations.

Cafe Plenty serves coffee, baked goods, sandwiches and healthy prepared cafe-style fare, and also offers catering. They have locations on Dundas West, on Yonge and in Commerce Court, but now their Danforth location is no more.

Cafe Plenty has been in business for over a decade. The closure of this location comes a few years after they closed their Yonge and King location.

“Sadly, I am faced yet again with this tough decision,” reads a post on Cafe Plenty’s social media signed by founder Melissa.

“I’ve spent the past week in store connecting with our regulars and letting them know personally that we are closing. The kindness has been beautiful to feel and there is a part of me that feels like I’m letting you down. And know that I’m closing the Danforth so I can keep my other three locations going.”

The post has over 200 likes and dozens of comments from people saying they’re sad to see this location go but are comforted to know that they can still visit Cafe Plenty’s other locations.

The last day for Cafe Plenty on the Danforth was June 15.
