Toronto’s streets are buzzing with Hollywood action once again!
Since the start of 2025, the city has become a prime filming hub for major streaming platforms. In January, Netflix kicked things off with a Christmas movie featuring Melissa Joan Hart, Alicia Silverstone, and Jameela Jamil.
February saw Disney bring the Jonas Brothers back to the screen for another festive film.
Now, as spring approaches, Amazon Prime is rolling cameras on a star-studded romantic comedy—making it the third major production to set up in Toronto this year.
The movie titled Relationship Goals is the latest to join the lineup. Inspired by Michael Todd’s bestselling book Relationship Goals: How to Win at Dating, Marriage, and Sex, which spent 13 consecutive weeks on The New York Times bestseller list, the film brings together an all-star cast.
The story follows Leah (Kelly Rowland), the first Black female morning TV showrunner, who suddenly finds herself competing for her position against an old flame. To complicate things further, her rival enlists the help of an inspirational preacher whose bestselling book—Relationship Goals—has transformed his life.
According to Toronto.ca, filming begins on March 17, 2025, at Reunion Goals Productions Inc., located at 225 Commissioners St.
If you happen to be in the area during filming, you might spot some of the stars in action!
Production is expected to wrap by May 5. While additional filming locations have not been confirmed, Toronto will serve as the primary base.
Rowland and Smith are joined by comedian Robin Thede (A Black Lady Sketch Show) and actress Annie Gonzalez (Flamin’ Hot).
The film is directed by Linda Mendoza (Harlem, Survival of the Thickest) and written by Laura Lekkos. Bart Lipton is producing the project for Amazon MGM Studios.
No official release date has been announced, but fans of feel-good rom-coms will definitely want to keep this one on their radar.
