An AAPI market with maid cafe and tea party experiences, dress-up experiences, a rose wall and over 30 AAPI vendors is happening soon in Toronto.

The Summer Vibes AAPI Market is put on by non-for-profit organization Toronto Folk Chinese Art Center. The main focus is on over 30 AAPI-owned businesses, but you’re also encouraged to attend dressed in J-fashion, Lolita or traditional Chinese styles. Of course, you can stay casual as well. There will also be “NPC” ushers on site interacting with visitors.

Admission to the main market is totally free, but you’ll have to get tickets for the dress-up, maid cafe and tea party experiences, and the rose wall photo ops.

The maid cafes are put on in collaboration with University of Toronto Anime Club, and involve maids bringing cute aesthetic cakes and tea to your table and interacting with you. Vendors will be selling handmade items like art, stationery, jewellery and traditional thread accessories. You can still apply to be a vendor or volunteer to help out, including dressing up.

The Summer Vibes AAPI Market is taking place from June 14 to 16 at 1650 Finch Ave. E. in North York.
