Horror and musical fans rejoice as Evil Dead The Musical has opened up a secondary block of ticket sales for their upcoming Toronto show.

According to Starvox Entertainment,  the production company behind the performance, Evil Dead The Musical is returning to Toronto after seven years, a major milestone, as the show debuted on the Tranzac stage in downtown Toronto in 2003.

The film The Evil Dead — and by extension — the stage play of Evil Dead The Musical, follows the story of five college students in a cabin in the woods who become transformed into monsters after mistakenly reading a cursed book that unleashes a demonic force.

Our hero, Ash, is then forced to spring into action to save the day with nothing but his wits and a chainsaw.

According to Starvox representatives, throughout the show’s history, thousands of gallons of fake blood have been sprayed on super fans who sit in the ‘splatter zone,’ the first few rows adjacent to the stage during the performance.

With such a demand for rock and roll tunes, kitschy scares and fake blood, Evil Dead The Musical has now extended its run to November 24 and will feature a dynamic cast of some of Ontario’s most dynamic stage players.

Evil Dead The Musical is scheduled to open on October 5, 2024, at The Randolph Theatre in Toronto.
