A hand roll bar with origins in British Columbia has just opened their second Toronto location not long after their first.

Hello Nori opened their first location on King West last year, and now they’re already opening up another new spot in Toronto just five months later.

The restaurant mainly deals in hand rolls, a style of sushi that’s served as one long roll eaten by hand, made to order before your eyes and presented for instant consumption for the optimal eating experience. Options for hand rolls include high end selections like truffle lobster, snow crab and Hokkaido scallop.

Hello Nori has multiple locations in British Columbia, and has just recently opened their first Toronto locations. Now, they’ve just opened a brand new location on York Street.

In addition to their food, Hello Nori is known for the design of their locations, and the new York restaurant stays true to their aesthetic with a wooden statement ceiling and lots of clean lines.

“In keeping with the Hello Nori tradition, the new space features our signature wood ceiling design and pays homage to our Vancouver flagship on Robson Street,” reads a social media post from Hello Nori about the new York location.

“The modern, warm ambiance is complemented by pillars inspired by Vancouver’s architectural elegance, blending perfectly with the style of Toronto’s Financial District.”

Hello Nori is now open at 70 York St.
