A hand roll bar with multiple popular locations in British Columbia just opened their first ever Toronto spot.

Hello Nori serves Japanese temaki, or hand rolls, made out of crispy nori and warm rice, and prides themselves on using the finest locally sourced ingredients. All sushi is rolled to order and immediately presented to the diner.

They serve up hand rolls stuffed with Ora King salmon, bluefin tuna, unagi, snow crab, truffle lobster, Hokkaido scallop, sea bream, spicy shrimp and toro, as well as aburi oshi sushi.

The splashy but intimate space only has 36 seats, and the Toronto location is totally custom designed as no two Hello Nori locations are exactly the same.

“If you’ve been following Hello Nori, you’ll know that each of our locations has its own unique story and aesthetic, perfectly blending into the neighbourhood while delivering a vibe you won’t find anywhere else,” reads a social media post from Hello Nori announcing the opening of their Toronto location.

“The King West location draws inspiration from the area’s rich textile history, with a design that reflects the flowing curves of intricate fabric patterns. Wood, stone, and concrete come together to create a serene escape in the heart of the city.”

Hello Nori is now open at 648 King St. W.
