Burlington dancer vies for $1 million prize on Canada’s Got Talent

A young dancer from Burlington will get a shot at the $1 million grand prize in this year’s edition of Canada’s Got Talent.
Damian Shillis, 10, will be a participant in the successful television show which features competitors from across the country showcasing their various talents and vying to gain recognition as well as the prize money.

This year’s edition of the show premiers March 19 at 8 p.m. on Citytv and will include judges Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall
Despite his young age, Shillis already competes at an award-winning level having won at international showcases and performing for large audiences.
He trains with the Canadian Dance Company.
Canada’s Got Talent says this year’s $1 million prize is the largest in Canadian television history.
Aside from dancers, viewers of the show can also expect to see singers, musicians and other performers including those attempting world-recording-breaking stunts.
Canada’s Got Talent culminates in a live two-hour finale on May 14 from OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls.
