As spring slowly creeps closer and closer, fans of Canada’s Wonderland are itching to get back into the park for some springtime and summer fun.
The park has now announced its opening date, which is set for next month.
Prior to the park opening to the general public, there will be a special Season Passholder Preview day this month on April 21 when passholders get an exclusive day at the park.
New to the park this year will be water attraction Moosehorn Falls, a huge new boomerang water slide that will open when 20-acre water park Splash Works opens up on May 25.
There are also lots of events planned for the park this summer once it opens up fully. Celebration Canada will take place from June 28 to July 7, and during that time there will be daily live music, street performers, Canadian food and drink, and two nights of fireworks on June 30 and July 1.
There will also be a special SickKids Day fundraiser on July 11 where a limited number of tickets for an exclusive park experience will be sold with proceeds going to the hospital. Families can also look forward to KidZfest taking place from July 13 to July 28 where they’ll be able to participate in activities, entertainment and games, and also enjoy appearances from characters like Peppa Pig and Marvel superheroes.
Other summer fun park goers can expect this year includes Cirque Ambiente in Canterbury Theatre, the Victoria
Falls High Divers and the Team K9 Dog Show. This year also brings a new stunt dive show in Arthur’s Baye plus performances with Snoopy and the PEANUTS gang, including a PEANUTS Block Party and a new Team Charlie Brown show at Playhouse Theatre.
For those that are just looking to get through sticky summer to enjoy their favourite crisp, cool season of fall, Canada’s Wonderland is also already announcing there will be a lot to look forward to in autumn with events like Oktoberfest and Camp Spooky, as well as Halloween Haunt which is teasing a new attraction.
All events and shows are included with park admission or a season pass. Canada’s Wonderland officially opens on May 3.
