After 12 years of operation, a Toronto cheese shop has called it quits.

Junction Fromagerie sold Canadian and international cheeses as well as other products like meats to go along with them.

The shop made a post to social media recently announcing that they would be shutting their doors.

“Dear Valued Junction Fromagerie Customers, It is with mixed emotions that we share with you the news that we are closing the Junction Fromagerie. We are proud of the fact that for the past 12 years we have made Canadian artisanal cheese and charcuterie producers the focus of our small business. It has been our pleasure not only to have been purveyors of fine Canadian and International cheese but also have had the opportunity to serve and grow with the Junction Community,” reads the post, signed by Jeff and Jen.

“We also consider ourselves fortunate in having had the pleasure of working with so many young Junctionites over the years who were eager to learn about cheese, food production and customer sales. Alas rising costs on all fronts have forced us to reconsider our priorities, so we have decided to return our focus to our first love; Chocolate and Ice Cream.”

The people behind Junction Fromagerie also run Delight, so even if you can’t get savoury snacks from them anymore, at least you’ll still be able to turn to them for sweet treats.

There are some other consolations, too. Recipes for the Fromagerie’s prepared products will be published in an upcoming online recipe book on Nov. 1 so you can recreate them yourself. Also, unused gift certificates for Junction Fromagerie can be used at Delight.

The last day for Junction Fromagerie was Sept. 28.
