CLOSURE: A guitar shop is closing permanently in Hamilton

A source for acoustic and electric guitars in Hamilton has announced that they’re closing up shop.
The Acoustic Room primarily specializes in acoustic guitars, but also sells electric guitars.
“It is with mixed emotions that I announce the closure of The Acoustic Room,” reads a post on social media signed by owner Mark Pongetti.
“I am so grateful for your support over the years, whether you were picking up your first instrument, getting strings replaced, or simply stopping by for a chat, you’ve been a vital part of this journey.”

The post has over 100 likes and dozens of comments on Instagram from people saying they’re sorry to see the store go but that they’re wishing the owner a great retirement.
Guitar lovers in Hamilton can console themselves with Acoustic Room’s retirement sale with special pricing on the store’s remaining inventory.
Items priced to clear online include bags, cases, strings, picks, capos and even cowbells, but the website makes it clear that inventory in the retirement sale is being priced for in-store shopping only, so you’ll have to head over to get the full details on the deals.
The Acoustic Room is closing on Mar. 29.
