CLOSURE: A location of a Japanese-inspired coffee bar just closed in Toronto

A Japanese-inspired cafe just shut down one of their Toronto locations recently.
Ninetails Coffee Bar isn’t your average cafe, incorporating Japanese culture into their offerings. It’s actually named for a nine-tailed fox from Japanese folklore called a kyubi no kitsune, which is a symbol of wisdom and magic.
They serve standard espresso-based drinks along with options like traditional matcha, hojicha lattes, yuzu lemonade and dirty chai. Ninetails also offers cafe fare like croissant sandwiches and Basque cheesecake.
The cafe took to social media recently to announce they were closing down one of their two locations.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of our Spadina location,” reads an announcement signed by the Ninetails team.
“While everything has gone well and we’ve loved every moment serving you, the time has come for us to close this chapter.”
The post has over 350 likes and around 40 comments on Instagram from people expressing their sadness over the closure and saying the location was great while it lasted. The location of Ninetails at 651 Bloor St. W. will remain open.
The last day for the Spadina location of Ninetails was Jan. 13.
