A Toronto restaurant for Mexican food has just quietly and suddenly closed its doors with no formal warning or announcement to the public.
Casa Mezcal was known for food like tacos, quesadillas and ceviche and always kept the drinks flowing in their energetic party atmosphere where they regularly hosted events.
Located at 291 King St. W., they boasted that they had the largest selection of tequila and mezcal in the neighbourhood.
The restaurant even threw what they claimed was the “biggest Latin New Year’s party in Toronto,” posting on their Instagram for a final time on the first day of the year before going completely dark on social media with no official updates.
Their website is still operating and their Instagram account is still live despite the fact that it hasn’t been updated in over a month. Casa Mezcal once had a location on Church that has also now since closed.
Casa Mezcal confirms with YourCityWithIN.com that their last day was Jan. 12.
