A pastry shop in the Toronto area has closed the doors of their physical location.

Peter Piper’s Pastry Shoppe is known for sweet treats of all stripes, from cookies, scones and biscotti to doughnuts, pies and tarts. They’re especially known for their half pound cookies stuffed with wild fillings like a whole slice of pumpkin pie.

The shop took to social media to let customers know that they would no longer be able to visit their Kipling space in person.

“After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors. It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye,” reads a post on social media from the business.

The post has over 500 likes and over 75 comments on Instagram from people saying they’ll miss Peter’s pies, cookies and creative ideas.

Thankfully, all is not lost as Peter Piper’s is only closing their physical location, while the business will remain in operation virtually. They’ll continue to take orders via the online store or through direct messages on social media, saying “don’t hesitate to reach out” in the closing post. The caption of the post also notes “we’ll be back in the community.”

Peter Piper’s Pastry Shoppe at 7955 Kipling Ave. has officially closed as of about a week ago.
