CLOSURE: A patisserie has permanently closed due to financial troubles in Toronto

A patisserie and bakery in Toronto has quietly closed down permanently.
Petit Paris sold sandwiches, cakes, cupcakes, macarons and specialty products. They also served brunch with options like waffles, Eggs Benny, French toast, yogurt parfaits, Caesars and mimosas. Petit Paris even offered catering services for private parties.
They had said they were temporarily closing the store for renovations years ago, and never reopened.
“We are closing the store for renovations and will come back to you with a renewed theme very soon,” Petit Paris wrote in a social media post in June 2023, saying they were selling off items in the store at reduced prices.

The website for Petit Paris is still operational, but a banner at the top still reads, “Please note, our establishment is currently closed for renovations. Thank you for your continued support.”
That was their last post to Instagram, but now the bio for Petit Paris on Instagram reads, “Your favourite patisserie unfortunately is permanently closed. We are unable to make the financials work. Thank you for all your support.”
Petit Paris on Gerrard East in the Upper Beaches is now permanently closed.
