A ramen shop that’s majorly blown up recently just closed the doors of their sole Toronto store.

Crafty Ramen has expanded a lot in recent years, with their frozen ramen products making their way into major grocery stores. Sadly, though, Toronto has lost its brick and mortar location of the brand.

Crafty Ramen bills itself as a noodle shop and market, and sells frozen ramen for delivery and in grocery stores. They use ingredients like slow cooked pork and handmade noodles in their ramen.

The brand was co-founded by Miki and Jarden Farrell who spent years living and cooking in Tokyo and attended the Yamato School of Ramen. They opened the first Crafty Ramen in Guelph in 2017.

For their ramen, they have options like spicy chicken tantanmen and their classic “Tokyo Salaryman” with either chicken or pork. They also serve snacks like bao and gyoza.

If you’re in Toronto, you can still get their frozen ramen at grocery stores or order it for delivery, but you’ll no longer be able to dine at a local noodle shop.

There are still noodle shop locations of Crafty Ramen in Guelph and Kitchener.

The last day for Crafty Ramen on Ossington in Toronto was Aug. 30.
