A boutique that calls itself “a magical family business” has announced they’ll soon be shutting their doors in Toronto.
Helen + Hildegard dubbed itself an herbal apothecary and an artisanal beauty and gift boutique.
The store officially announced in early December that they would be shutting down with a formal announcement on social media that had a rough timeline for the closure.
“After much heartfelt consideration, we’ve made the immensely difficult decision to close our cherished Queen West boutique. To our incredible H+H community, we cannot express how much your support has meant to us,” reads the initial announcement.
“Thank you for a decade of joy, shared growth, loyal support and, most of all, LOVE! Inspired by our philosophy ~ Beauty Infused in Everything ~ we will be going out with gusto as we celebrate the holiday season together now through to mid-January.”
More recently, they made a follow-up post on social media with more details of the closure and final sales.
“It’s the twilight of our boutique’s lifetime, with only a few short weeks left,” reads the post.
“We’ve been looking back and cherishing all the experiences that brought us here. It’s been an incredible journey. And of course it’s all of you who have made that journey so fulfilling and worthwhile.”
Most items will be 15 to 75 per cent off up until Jan. 12, and then everything will be an additional 20 per cent off during their last week.
The last day for Helen + Hildegard will be Jan. 19.
