A source for Indian street food has quietly shut down their Hamilton location.
Chaska bills itself as your “Indian street food obsession.” They serve items like kathi rolls, naan rolls, curry bowls and fusion dishes.
The mini chain has multiple locations across Toronto, but now their Hamilton location has disappeared and has already been replaced by something else.
The restaurant didn’t make any kind of formal announcement about the closure, but their location in Hamilton at 4 Newton Ave. has been replaced. It’s now home to The Hungry Donkey, which actually still serves street food, just a very different variety.
While Chaska served Indian food, Hungry Donkey is now serving up Greek street food in the same space. The Hungry Donkey also has a location in Newmarket at Market & Co on Yonge.
Chaska still has locations in Toronto, North York, Mississauga, Oakville, Peterborough, Waterloo and Ajax.
Urbanicity reports that Chaska closed in Hamilton sometime around the fall.
