CLOSURE: Shop for home goods and gifts closing after almost 10 years in Hamilton

A home goods and gift shop that’s been in business for nearly a decade has announced they’re closing down.
Vintage Charm sells all kinds of cute home decor, but recently announced on social media that the shop will be shuttering its doors.
“It is with very mixed emotions that I make this announcement. On the one hand I am excited for what’s next, for new beginnings, for change, for not being the boss that has to pay all the bills. On the other hand I am heartbroken to say goodbye to something I created, to my amazing staff that have supported, encouraged and stood by me, to my customers that brightened my day, to the amazing Locke St community that welcomed me from the start,” reads a post signed by owner Aimee.
“Getting to know you all has been such a blessing. Hearing so often how much coming in my little shop gave you such a feeling of calm and peace meant more than you will ever know. Vintage Charm came from a desire to use my creative gifts in design and to encourage and help all of you be inspired to create spaces you loved to be in.”

The post has over 400 likes and over 80 comments on Instagram from people saying they’re sorry to see the shop go but are also hopeful for whatever comes next.
The shop should be open from Thursday to Sunday until they close, with 40 per cent off all remaining stock.
Vintage Charm will be closing around the end of January.
