A modern and elegant Italian restaurant that’s linked to a Michelin-recognized Corktown hotspot just announced that it is closing down.

DOVA, ARDO’s sister restaurant, has closed its doors after four years in business on Carlton Street.

“It’s time that we announce the closure of Dova indefinitely. We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of you who have been part of our journey for the past 4 years. Your support has meant the world to us since day one,” operators wrote on social media.

The post says that DOVA’s owners, Chef Roberto Marotta and Jacqueline Nicosia, have “decided to embark on an exciting new path,” adding that diners can still enjoy the pair’s celebrated fare at ARDO (which is featured in the acclaimed Michelin Guide) and Bar ARDO, a new concept that serves small plates and cocktails.

Prior to its closure, DOVA was known for offering Sicilian and Mediterranean dishes such as acciughe and carciofi (an anchovy dish), carpaccio, risotto, pizza, fish, a $96 dry-aged rib eye steak and more.

On its website, DOVA’s owners said the resto was designed to pay homage to Sicily’s exciting terroir and culinary traditions while striving to include dishes inspired by other regions in the Mediterranean basin.

The Cabbagetown resto also featured a private cellar, spacious dining room and patio.
