CLOSURE: Sky high sushi restaurant with amazing views has closed in Toronto

A sushi restaurant that was situated high up on the 51st floor of a building has temporarily closed down and will be relocating.
AP Restaurant unceremoniously shut down a little while back, and now the concept is lying dormant until they hopefully reopen in a new space.
AP is named for chef Antonio Park, who has already opened many other restaurants, mostly in Montreal. Park is known for his high end sushi offerings, and AP was exemplary of that, with fancy sushi and elegant Japanese dishes on the menu.
The place where the restaurant was housed rivalled the beautiful presentation of the dishes. Previously residing in the breathtaking space atop Manulife Centre on the 51st floor, it could be difficult to find a new spot for AP that can live up to their stunning old digs.
Antonio Park tells YourCityWithIN.com that AP Restaurant was sold to his partners, and he’s planning to reopen the restaurant with no partners in summer 2026, or possibly even sooner as construction has already begun.
Park tells YourCityWithIN.com that he’s “beyond excited to open and operate the way I want.”
The new AP Restaurant is under construction in the Summerhill area. The original AP Restaurant closed around the end of February.
