CLOSURE: Vancouver beer bar has shut down after less than a year in Toronto

A Vancouver-based beer bar that just opened their first Toronto location under a year ago has now unceremoniously shut down that spot.

Sing Sing serves a unique combination of craft beer, pho and pizza, but now Toronto will no longer be able to experience that.

The Toronto location of Sing Sing was located at First Canadian Place where several other restaurants can be found, but it has now closed there.

Vancouver locations of the bar on Main Street and Commercial are still listed as open on the website of overseeing group Freehouse, but the Toronto location is no longer listed. Freehouse tells YourCityWithIN.com that it’s possible the closure is temporary.

“Unfortunately Sing Sing Toronto has closed its doors,” a representative tells YourCityWithIN.com. “We are unsure currently whether it will be reopened.”

If you want to check out Sing Sing, you’ll currently have to head all the way to Vancouver, but you can still visit Toronto’s other Freehouse concepts Belfast Love, Isabelle’s, Walrus and Gift Shop.

Sing Sing’s most recent posts on Instagram are from the summer, and there is no official announcement on their social media letting the public know they have closed.
