Smash burger fans in Toronto’s east end recently lost a popular restaurant.

Late last month, The Bullger, a chain known for its smash patties, steak sandwiches and chicken/beef/vegan burgers, announced that it was saying goodbye to its Greektown location on Danforth Avenue.

The location had been serving the community for six years.

“After 6 amazing years, we’re saying goodbye to Danforth,” operators wrote on social media.

“We want to thank each and every one of you for your support, loyalty, and love. It’s been an incredible journey, and we couldn’t have done it without you!”

While the news disappointed diners who no longer have quick access to burgers topped with everything from crusted jalapeño peppers and huge chicken tenders to fried eggs and crusted portobello mushrooms, the brand said it will continue to operate two other locations: One at  116 Ellesmere Rd and another at 348 Queen St E.

“Come visit us and keep enjoying the burgers you love! Thank you, Danforth, for everything!”
