Free popcorn refills now available at some movie theatres

If one bag of movie theatre popcorn is not enough–and it never is–you might be happy to hear that you can get a free refill at Cineplex movie theatres.

Today, Cineplex announced its new (and permanent) refill program, which allows guests who purchase a large popcorn or large fountain drink to get a refill free of charge.

Cineplex says the new promotion is open to all customers and requires no special membership or tub.

The company said in a news release that the new refill program is ready in time for the Glicked (Wicked and Gladiator II) opening weekend.

“A big part of enjoying a movie on the big screen are the snacks, so by offering our guests a free refill on their large popcorn and fountain drink, we ensure their favourite movie snack and drink doesn’t run out and more can even be enjoyed on the way home,” said Kevin Watts, executive vice president, Cineplex, said in a statement.

The promotion allows guests to refill one large popcorn and one large fountain drink free of charge only one time.

The offer is not applicable to delivery orders.
