Fun with slime is focus of new shop at Milton Mall

An idea borne out of finding things to do for her kids has led a Milton mom to open an interactive store around slime.

That’s right, slime.

“The Slime Lab Milton was created out of my own desire to reconnect with play, with simplicity, with creativity and just plain fun,” Ashley writes on the company’s website.

She said she searched endlessly online for things to keep her two young kids busy during the lockdown, but all they wanted to do was play with slime. And after some research, she discovered it was actually good for them.

“Did you know though, that slime actually fosters healthy brain development? That it helps to improve focus and attention? Slime play assists in the enhancement of fine motor skills and encourages endless creativity.”

But after getting tired of cleaning up the endless mess at home, she decided it was time to find a more permanent place for. And that’s when Slime Lab Milton officially opened it’s doors in Milton Mall a few weeks ago.

The Slime Lab is a fun, interactive slime experience for kids (ages 4 and up) and adults alike. Visitors can take a stroll through the slime pool, find their favourite slime type, shoot it out of a slingshot, and learn all about what makes slime, slime.

Visits last about 90 minutes and you can even create your own custom slime to take home.
