Hamilton has a new food court, but it’s nothing like we’ve been accustomed to. This food court is way cooler.

Town Hall Social Eatery held a soft opening last Saturday at 581 Concession St., and unlike the mall-style food courts you’ve probably visited, this modern take on the classic concept isn’t just a bunch of fast food chains surrounding rows of dated tables and wobbly chairs. At this food court, you’re getting high-end diverse food and drink options and a more casual vibe.

We’ve all experienced the headaches that come with organizing a restaurant outing with friends and family — trying to decide where to go and how to appease everyone’s tastes. Well, as Town Hall Social Eatery states on its website: “Finally — a restaurant that everyone in your friend group can eat at!”

The space includes a tapas room with ice-cold beer, a wine bar, a cafe, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, desserts, and more.

Here’s more from the eatery’s website:

What’s Townhall? The easiest way to break it down is think: food court, but like cooler. Then, imagine a food court that breaks all stereotypes. Cold beer from your favourite local, Hamilton breweries, wine that can be paired with a charcuterie board, a taco joint with nachos, burritos and so much more, a pub-inspired area that serves smash burgers, sharing plates … it’s all here, on the cusp of the Hamilton Mountain. Trust us, it’ll make sense once you experience it.
