Some Toronto residents put a lot of effort into making Halloween extra spooky.
One of the best-known homes in the west end of the city is at Dorval Road and Glen Lake Avenue, just north of Dundas West Station.
For many years, the homeowners have filled their corner lot yard with skeletons, pumpkins, monsters, creepy spiders and a lot more. Make sure to look up at the skeleton perched at the highest point on the roof.
The home draws crowds around this time of year and they collect donations for the food bank.
To the north of this home, in the Junction Triangle on Davenport Road at Osler Street, is a giant skeleton that takes on different personalities each year. Last year, it was “Barboo” and stepping out of a custom-made pink box.
This year, the 12-foot skeleton is “Chappell Bone” named after singer-song writer Chappell Roan. The homeowners run an Instagram account — Your Buddy Bones — where people can learn more about the creations.

Just north of High Park, on Pacific Avenue between Humberside Avenue and Glen Lake Avenue, is a collection of homes that get into the Halloween spirit with unique displays.
One home created a creepy fortune-telling tent complete with spooky photos.
And also in the area are many nicely decorated homes on and around Indian Road, just south of Bloor Street. Check out the pirate-themed home on Indian Trail.
The Rosedale neighbourhood is also known for large Halloween displays.
In the north end, Thornhill Woods Haunted House at 1 Krisbury Ave., is another elaborately decorated home. The owners have been transforming their Thornhill home since October 2004. They welcome donations to the Mackenzie Health Foundation.
