An Italian restaurant has quietly said its goodbyes in Toronto, but a new concept is already coming in to fill the void.

Noce once took up residence in a corner space on bustling Queen West near Trinity Bellwoods Park, but now the Italian restaurant is no more.

In its place, something called Little Ese is opening. Not much info about the new restaurant is out there yet, but it’s being spearheaded by the restaurant group behind multiple other successful businesses.

Peanut Gallery Hospitality is also responsible for Papi Chulo’s (home to the wildly popular Christmas pop-up bar Margaritas and Mistletoe), Aleria and Greek & Co.

A page for Little Ese on the Peanut Gallery website says the restaurant will be serving pizza, pasta and wings.

“Imagine a place where taste, ambiance, and passion for food come together in perfect harmony,” reads the page. “While our doors are still closed, we’re creating an experience that will tantalize your senses. Join us soon for the grand unveiling!”

Peanut Gallery tells YourCityWithIN.com that Little Ese at 875 Queen St. W. is aiming to open around April.
