Steakhouse chain Chop has long been teasing the opening of a downtown Toronto location, and now it’s finally getting closer.
Chop has been in business for nearly 20 years, and now has 17 locations and counting across the country. A counter on their website boasts that they sold almost 500,000 steaks last year.
They serve many cuts of steak including over-the-top options like a bone-in rib eye for two, and you can top steaks with sauce options like bearnaise, blue cheese, peppercorn and chimichurri. Chop also serves steak with crab, lobster or shrimp and they do classic prime rib as well. They even have plant-based options like a grilled tofu steak and Beyond Meat burger.
Chop also does brunch, which of course includes many options for steak and eggs any style, but the best part is probably the bottomless mimosas.
They have locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nova Scotia, and have already opened Ontario locations in London and Ottawa. There are also Chop locations close to Toronto in Oakville, Mississauga, Vaughan and at the airport.
Now, Chop is opening one of their most highly anticipated Ontario locations of all in downtown Toronto.
The new Toronto location should have a huge rooftop patio and private dining options. It will be located at 181 University Ave. in the DBRS building and have direct access to the PATH.
Chop should be opening in downtown Toronto in late November.
